Ambassador M. Ashraf Haidari, Founder and President of Displaced International, participated in the panel discussion, “Afghanistan at Five: Shadows of Taliban Rule, the Human Cost, and Windows of Hope for a New Era,” hosted by the Bareen Initiative for Development.

He emphasized that Afghanistan’s intertwined human and protective security crises have deep roots in decades of geopolitically driven interventions, proxy competition, and conflicting regional and extra-regional interests.
