The Volunteering Summit for Capacity Advancement of Youth

The seminar held on Saturday, 16, November 2024 was a collaborative effort between the Equality World Association and the Bareen  Initiative for Development, focusing on social, economic, and cultural issues faced by disadvantaged groups like women, children, and youth. The event aimed at fostering collaboration and promoting equality and empowerment through educational and volunteering activities.

The program highlighted gender equality, empowerment of diverse communities, and addressed barriers faced by these groups. It promoted volunteerism and collaboration for inclusivity, encouraged skill development, economic independence, and cultural integration.

Speakers at the event included:  Sühendan Vaizoğlu who discussed the mission of the Equality World Association focusing on gender equality and crisis management. Hayide Işıl who spoke on educational support for Afghan women and children in Turkey, emphasizing language, skills, and integration. Ahmet Aoudi shared insights from his volunteer translation work and future commitments. Buğra Gülte outlined his role in EU projects and his founding contributions to the Equality World Association. Mohammad Nasir Saleh from the Bareen Initiative for Development, who talked about enhancing language skills, social integration, and youth development through workshops.

The seminar succeeded in networking diverse participants, highlighting the importance of empowering vulnerable groups, fostering youth development, and encouraging sustained volunteer efforts. It underscored the potential for local initiatives to benefit from global perspectives, setting a foundation for future collaborative projects.
