Empowering Youth: Brain Research and Ideal Study Method

On June 3, 2024, the University of Tolo-e-Saadat and the Bareen Initiative for Development hosted a significant conference, “Empowering Youth: Brain Research and Ideal Study Method,” designed for medical students. The conference aimed to shed light on the crucial role of youth in society and introduce innovative study methods.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Masoud highlighted the role and position of youth in society. He called young people the country’s backbone and main asset and emphasized that investing in youth empowerment leads to positive societal changes.

Dr. Masoud introduced new study methods during his insightful session and emphasized their practicality. He clearly distinguished between “hit-or-miss” study and “book reading and non-book reading,” underlining the significance of deep and purposeful study. According to him, these effective study methods can help students retain information in their long-term memory and use it throughout life.

Dr. Masoud then mentioned some factors that affect study, such as setting goals, choosing the right time, time management, and selecting the right place. By providing practical tips in each of these areas, he helped students improve their study methods.

As the conference drew to a close, Dr. Masoud passionately urged the students to seize the opportunities available to them, to grow and flourish, to strive for their lofty goals through hard work and perseverance, and to be the catalysts for positive societal changes.
