Comprehensive Report on the 10-Day First Aid Training Seminar
On February 8, 2023, the University of Tolo-e-Saadat, in collaboration with the Bareen Initiative for Development, held a 10-day first aid and injection training seminar for “Empowering Youth and First Aid Training in Emergencies.” ‘ Led by the esteemed Dr. Mohammad Yaqoob Ghani, a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at this University, this seminar significantly enhanced the participants’ understanding and application of first aid principles.
At the beginning of this seminar, Dr. Yaqoob Ghani emphasized the importance of first-aid training for families, especially young people and students. He stated that we face accidents that endanger human lives in everyday life. By learning and performing simple first aid, we can save lives. However, this requires training and familiarity with the principles of first aid.
In this training course, Dr. Yaqoob Ghani taught the participants the following essential topics:
- Blood pressure measurement
- Body temperature assessment
- Blood sampling methods
- Introduction to medical instruments
- Introduction to first aid medicines, injections, and vital signs
- Bleeding
At the end of the seminar, following instructions on providing first aid and injections, Dr. Yaqoob Ghani stressed the crucial importance of administering first aid to those in need in emergencies.
